What is it?

Arendorian Portal v3 is a update to the Arendorian Portal v2 CMS (Content Management System) of the portal, designed from scratch to implement many of the functionality which was lacking in Portalv2.
The distinctive features of Portalv3 are:

• Full control over outputed HTML, CSS & RSS
  • Global Templates
  • Unique page templates
• Multi-user access configuration
  • Specify indivdual pages each user is allowed to manage
• Multi-Level Repeaters / "Repeating Elements"
  • No more copying a template for each entry on a page
• Administration built-in to the system
• File manager which provides friendly file-links.
• Page Caching (rather then generating on each load)
• SQL or FlatFile database support. (SQL only in v3.0.1a)
• Works with Safe_Mode On, and Register Globals Off!

It is also being designed as a basis for two special CMS's:

• VSportal
  • Virtual Series content management system
  • A script designed to manage a website for a Virtual Series'
  • Designed for the Stargate Universe Virtual series community
• SGUportal
  • An expanded version of the VSportal designed to run the Stargate Universe website

Current status

• Version 3.0.1a has been released.
• Version 3.0.1b is in developement.
