About the Name:
Valórin is derived from Olórin, Gandalf's Maiar name, and Valinor the Elven haven.

The site is running on a server in Canberra, Australia, hosted by AussieHQ, who are great hosts I recomend to everyone!
This part of the site, is running my latest creation, Arendorian Portalv2 which is a PHP flat-file CMS system.
Basically I use this site for throwing my piccys up in my gallery, and for putting other random things online.
I love making websites and playing with PHP, so this is a good place for me to play around
About the current design:
This started as a simple refresh of my current design and soon grew into a total re-design.
It's worked amazingly well and I am happy with it.
It uses CSS heavily, and so many old browsers will only see a basic version, but that version is still readable anyway!
About the Portal System
The first version of my site was hard coded, and that quickly got annoying so once I moved over to a PHP-enabled host I set about writing a CMS which could run my website.
The first versions were very dodgy, however, I eventually came up with Portalv1 which did the job
It worked fine for me, but I started to want to use it with other websites, and issues arose and I was forced to do major work on it
Instead of updating it into a weird hybrid which never really worked I set out to create a totally new portal system which was much easier to use and more powerful
What I created was Portalv2, which I am pleased to say lives up to its expectations and does an amazing job.
It still needs a lot of work, however, it is stable and userfriendly which are the important things!
